Friday's footage - Late

Sorry I can't believe I completely forgot about Friday's footage this last time so here it is a few days late.

Now, I know there are probably a bunch of Will fans out there if you are up on SYTYCD. To me he has nothing on Danny of season 3 so I can't get too excited about him. He's gone now anyway but I was thinking maybe it was because his last "James Brown" solo was lame...I was almost embarrased for him. Anybody who is pretty familiar with James Brown would be. It was pretty sad and maybe for those who don't have a clue who James Brown is, or haven't seen him in action, yeah, they might have found it entertaining. Even then though, I thought it sucked.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the "Godfather of Soul", "The hardest working man in Showbiz"...here are some clips. In my YouTube "favorites", I have this clip of Michael Jackson doing the James Brown (that's what his style moves are called, his name, how cool is that...) anyway I thought I would post that in here too, it is so awesome to see him doing those moves, in more of his style which is a bit more smooth, less raw and edgy than James Brown. I have a clip of Michael doing these moves at age 8 or so! Michael's so versatile, he can do anything he tries, but here he is doing the James Brown.





Here's a clip of what Michael said at James Brown's funeral. You'll have to turn this one up, it's quiter than the others.



Here is James Brown and Michael on the same stage, I have the full clip of this in my footage collection and there is a speech part on stage where Michael gives James Brown a tribute and he starts to tear up and it's such a real moment. It's my favorite part of the whole clip. I wish I could find it on youtube but I couldn't, but here is part of the clip anyway, both on stage.



Man, I LOVE these guys!
