Rewind 5-10 years ago and I was totally buff, that's right. Thin, but buff. In HS I was in weight training 3 of the 4 years and I was strong and toned. I ran all four years in Cross Country and all four years in track doing the mile, 2 mile, and about half the time running the 4X8 relay. After I graduated and especially after I left home and could barely afford food, I lost weight, all the muscle, and I became real thin and scrawny. I never have run or worked out really much since HS. I'm still scrawny and weak,...but having two kids now, I've got a little pooch. Maybe it'll go away but maybe it needs a little coaxing...at any rate it looks pretty funny being thin everywhere but a little flabby in the belly.
I showered last night after I got both the boys down to bed and I feel like my belly is not going down as fast as it did last time, so I am going to try and help it along a little by running again. I'll be doing it in the morning just whenever I wake up. I'm not setting an alarm cause Phoenix gets me up in the night. It's going to be hot starting out but as long as I'm hydrated, it'll actually be really good to sweat a little. I'm hoping to shed any soft spots and build a little muscle. Another thing I really want from this is more energy. I think that it has to help in this department because right now I do zero exersize and I am sleep deprived,....I'm dying for more energy so it'll be good, I'm excited. I just have to go to Sports Authority or Big 5 and get some shoes. I think I'll buy a running outfit too. I think it will be a great thing to have my iPod, that will really keep me going. When I was in HS, they weren't even existed. You were cool if you had a really nice "Discman". Off topic but funny: NO ONE in my HS had a cell phone....wrap your mind around that one for a second...

Okay, I must be really old because when I was in High School cell phones (nor the internet) had been invented yet... CD's were just gaining popularity over records and when I left for college I think I owned all of 3 CD's! Weird, huh?
Good for you! It's weird how expending more energy by exercising actually gives you more energy. I hope it works well for you. I'm impressed with your enthusiasm.
