Trying to get a smile out of Phoenix...

Phoenix has been SO stubborn about smiling. He is 2 months today and it's still so difficult to try and get one from him. Like mother like son I guess...I know I am not the most smiley bubbly person. I guess I just don't think about it even though I am mostly always happy. My relaxed face looks more like a frown I guess, and it doesn't help that I am scowling every two seconds to try and see everything. I always say I laugh more than I smile and that's how I prefer it. My friends think I'm fun enough anyway. We're always laughing.
Sharrid isn't any better at smiling than I am in my opinion (and my friends')...although he totally blames Phoenix' dead pan faces on me! Whatever. Sharrid looks like Frankenstein walking by a lot of times! Either way, Phoenix has been stubborn with it but I know once he gets the hang of it and does it, it will be irresistibly cute! Both boys have a Dr. appt. on Monday so after that I plan on posting an update on their percentages and stuff. I can tell you that Phoenix is blowing our minds with his growth. He is wearing 9 months clothes and I have had to go through his clothes 3 times already a lot of times finding he never even got to wear some of the clothes because he's growing too fast. He is in a size 3 diaper and will be in a 4 in no time! He wears a size 2 shoe but I bought him 3's because I know it would just be a waste. He is rapidly outgrowing his infant car seat. Marce was busting out of it at 6 months and we changed him over to the convertible, Phoenix is not going to last any more than I'd say....another 2 months MAX! I don't even know, that's a stretch. I'm thinking we're going to have to get him one of those 3 in 1 infant/convertible/booster ones. I really don't want one of those but I don't think I'm allowed to just put him in a convertible. I better think quick, we're going on a long road trip (well, 7 1/2 hours at most) and I might want to get a new seat before hand so he isn't squished in the little one the whole time. I want him to be as comfortable as possible so he is happier during the drive. If anybody out there has had a 2 month old that looks like a 4 month old, please comment some advice below...as for the rest of you, enjoy the pictures. BTW, I sent out an email to the address' I have but if you didn't hear, Phoenix will be blessed on August 10th at 11 AM. If you would like to come, you are welcome and you can email me for directions and stuff. It's going to be an interesting blessing, he is NOT a newborn anymore, but then again, he NEVER was...can't wait for the stats on Monday!

I'm sick of trying, I just want boob face. This is the last picture I took. They are out of order.

Getting hungry...

The best I got. He did a few of these really big cute ones but I missed most of them. I can't wait til he starts to smile frequently because he's got a cute dimple on the left side when you are looking at him. He gets it from Sharrid.

It looks like he's getting there! Better than when I was there.
