No Milk for Me!

Our day

After IKEA, we headed to the mall so I could get Marcelus some neck ties for church. They only have them at Christmas and Easter...and I like him to to have some all year round, so I got a couple really cute ties, but they had so many cute Easter out fits and stuff, that I conveniently remembered that I don't have a lot of church clothes for Phoenix at 3 mos. size and such, so I got him a pair of Kahki church pants and a white shirt and then a designed shirt that was green and white. I got Marcelus a really cute rashguard I couldn't pass up too. I can't wait to have him wear it today! Even though I'm having a boy and have all Marce's clothes left, there still are a few blank spaces and limited catagories, so it's fun cause I still get to buy a few clothes for Phoenix. One thing I know is I have way too many sleepers, and way too many onsies! But.....not too many church clothes YAY! And for me, you can never have enough pairs of shoes either. I love to buy Marcelus shoes! Right now he has 5 pair, and I still need to get him some summer sandals! And a swim suit...that will be fun too! ok, I'm ranting now, but I love shopping, and esp. for my kids!!
We then went to Target, because Connie gave Marce a gift card, and I had planned to get him a DVD with it, and after holding 5 and narrowing it down, between Dumbo, Meet The Robinsons, Blues Clues, and Surfs Up...we got Meet The Robinsons, and so far he loves it. I would have also considered The Incredibles cause he loves it and we don't have it but they didn't have it. Thanks Connie!
At Walmart, we got Marce a huge bottle of bubbles also for his B day! He loves bubbles, I think they do them in Nursery...All in all it was a pretty fun day, it always is, for me anyway. Thank goodness for Tuesdays!

P.S. Marce is getting studio pics done late March so I'll post them in time for Easter. I can't wait, we haven't done pics for a year! And, the Suns beat the Grizzlies yesterday! Good game.
Politics

I need to say a couple things first:1. I am not really a political person,...I should be I guess but I'm not. I don't like to get all worked up about it so I don't get too involved, and I'd rather spend my time and brain energy if you will, in other places.
2. I love black people, and I always have. I've studied their culture and observed their race for a while now. I've also written a lot of poetry and songs about this. I think they are the most beautiful people probably in the world and when I was in HS, I told my mom straight up that I was going to marry a black guy...about 5 years later I did.
ok, but here a few thoughts I've been thinking lately...
Sometimes I get the feeling that people are supporting Hillary just because she's a woman and she'd be the first woman president which of course would be historic, likewise I feel that people are supporting Barack because he's black, and he would be our first black president. I know a lot of influencial black people have really put their 2 cents in about Barack and I wonder if he were just another white male democrat running, if they'd be so gung ho...
Besides, here's something to think about that people usually don't, but I do. I think about it all the time and have actually written about this thought or idea (not specifically about Barack of course). Barack, I have been told is 1/2 black and 1/2 white. He is just as well white as he is black. one half is one half. But we all know for some reason in this world, if you're even one tenth
black...you're black. It makes me think about biracial families like mine and mixed kids and stuff, what do they put on their forms and such as they grow up. When it says race and leaves a blank or even circle your race, are they going to put black, or white, Shar has a friend who is half black half Japanese, what the heck does he put? Anyway I just wanted to bring up the thought that Barack is just as much white as he is black, no matter how the world weighs this. So, all this hype about him being black and possibly being the first black pres. is a little much I think. What if he looked more white than black? Would that make a difference, would there be as much buzz? What if you couldn't tell he had any black in him? Makes me wonder...
I just feel like people are not looking at the issues this election as they should be. I feel like a lot of people, black people, are thinking "Oh he's black, I'll vote for him and then everything will be good for me." If that were the case then everything would have been peachy for all of us white people the last 200 years or so...but yeah it sure hasn't been. You have to agree with their ideas and policies, not vote for them because they are your race or because you are a woman and so are they, or because you want to make history.
Just because Romney was a member and I'm a member too doesn't mean he automatically would have my vote. And if he was put in, I shouldn't feel like everything is going to be great, cause he's a member like me...that's just dumb!
Well, all I know is I can't really blame anyone for voting the way they do, and especially given these choices. I am not too impressed with ANY of the candidates, including McCain or Huckabee, but again I don't know everything about them. I really don't have an opinion on who I should vote for. I don't like any of them enough to support them. We'll see what happens though, as many people do have an opinion and support one candidate or the other.
And again, nothing against woman or black people of course. HELLO, I am a woman and am married to a black person and have children with him, so I hope no one takes offense...
