Today's footage is not really footage, it's more of just a song to listen to via YouTube. If you regularily read my blog, you know that I like Jeopardy. Well I don't know if any of you ever watch it. It's on at 4:30 I think on ABC, for me it's channel 15. Anyway, I have a confession to make though about the show. I've got a secret crush on Alex. Actually that's not the confession, however, it is true. The confession is that I totally dig the theme song and I keep the end credits on just so I can rock out. Seriously, if you are thinking that it is wimpy or cheesy, think again! I am a musician and though I am sure I could make improvements, I have to say overall that I think the music is rad. It totally makes me want to get up and dance (I have not gone this far yet) but I do sit there and get my head bump and shoulders into it, all the while looking at Alex and wondering who he really is. I mean really, have you ever seen him anywhere else, except on Jeopardy? It's almost like he's a fictional character...and how is it that he never messes up and stutters or coughs or anything...and all the foreign pronounciations, come on, do they have him study those before each show or does he just know every language under the sun? What a mystery he is to me...
Check out the killer tunes here, it gets pretty intense about halfway through on the 2nd one, but the bass is awesome throughout. Being a bass player, I totally want to perform this song somewhere, maybe Jeopardy could win a Toni Award or something and I could perform at the show...I love the drum fills, but they probably could've been way better at the same time...I also love the strings. I like both of these. The first one is a bit more lazy sounding. Each phrase is kind of dragging into the next which gives it a pretty cool "So what of it!" attitude. The bass is equally awesome as it is in the most recent one (the 2nd one). This one has more piano, which is sweet, and it's more of a disco/70's feel.
I'm not sure if the first one will work, but try them both anyway. It's not a great recording but it's the best I could get. Remember to turn my playlist music off. Man, what a sweet build up just in the first 10 seconds of the 2nd one! Talk about a good creciendo (sp?). I think we should have played this in HS for pep band! They both are awesome!
