I know there are plenty of people who have read this excellent book. Believe it or not, there are still plenty who have not. If you are among the non readers please get real and read this book. You'll then go on to read the whole series. I am currently reading Twilight for the 2nd time for the purpose of re-reading the entire series in time for the 4th and last book Breaking Dawn to come out. (I only retain about 30% of a book it seems) I am thrilled that my mom started reading Twilight after staying with me while Phoenix was born. She is now getting ready to start the third book. Way to go mom...she's so hip! I'm a little more than a third of the way through and thought I'd like to share something with all of you, readers and non readers. It's great for me actually not retaining very well because when I read the book again, I get surprises still. I read the end of the chapter the other night and after ward started laughing and getting all giddy like. I was so excited, isn't it great how a book, or a song or movie can do that to you. I swear it's why I live. It's pure inspiration. It's those things that give you true joy inside.
The end of the chapter reads:
"My mind still swirled dizzily, full of images I couldn't understand, and some I fought to repress. Nothing seemed clear at first, but as I fell gradually closer to unconsciousness a few certainties became evident.
About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was part of him - and I didn't know how potent that part might be - that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him."
Wow! It's probably one of the best paragraphs in the entire series. Let me say that this is not just a girls book. There is plenty for all. I am planning to read it again this fall with Sharrid before we go see the movie together that comes out in December. I think the movie will prove that the book is a must read for guys as well as girls. I advise you very strongly to read the book before seeing the movie. As for this book, just go out and buy it, don't even bother going to the Library...it's that good. If you read it and don't rush to read the next book in the series, call ME and I'll give you your money back myself!
