Marcelus' Homecoming

Yesterday was the day, and it was a good day. To start it off, Connie and her kids came over in the morning to spend the day with me. Levi was such a great baby as always and played on his own nearly all day. The other kids did pretty well too. Levi took a pretty hefty nap also. Connie and I watched a little of the March Madness going on (I can't get enough and it's on channel 5 all day!) and we also tinkered around with the 2 Nintendos Shar recently set up. Jonah even tried to play Super Smash Bros. with us on the 64. He and Eden kept laughing at the screen, they thought it was funny.

Meanwhile my mom and Landon were traveling in with Marce. Mom picked Peter up at work and Connie, me, and her kids met them at Chandler Mall for dinner. They beat us there and as we were walking in, I had Jonah and Eden by the hand. Marcelus walked straight to Eden and gave her a huge ("I missed you so much") bear hug! Marce really likes to play with Eden and he always says her name when he sees her pictures. I was wondering if he didn't see me and made sure to look at him. I thought he'd come running to me with an open armed hug...I was mistaken. He was sure glad to see Eden and Jonah though. Ha, no I got a hug out of him eventually and I could tell he was happy to be back in AZ, happy to see mommy, and happy that everyone (except daddy) was there together. Marce was really happy I could tell, and I held him and walked around the Food Court. I got him a happy meal and sat him down with his food. He was sitting right in the middle of the table surrounded by everyone and I could see that he was just beaming inside. I got a really yummy burrito at Rubio's, and after we ate, we went to the Play area for the kids. They loved running around and had great energy. We'd often find they were together amidst plenty of kids. I'm so happy Marcelus and Phoenix can have cousins near by. It makes life for them and for us as parents so much more tolerable. We then went to look at the doggies in the Pet store and then headed down the escalators (Marce is obsessed with them) to get a chocolate at See's Candies. I got a Dark Scotch Mallow. Marce got a V-word (vacuum) show as we sat and ate our choc., the lady was vacuuming the rug we were over. We then seperated from Connie and Pete and kids, and drove home. Landon played a bit of Nintendo, and mom and I got to talk a bit. Mom and Lan left this morning before 10.

It will be good to be home all day with Sharrid tomorrow for Easter. The Easter Bunny might be a little delayed getting to our house. I think he said he'd show up Monday night, but he said he had his reasons...

Monday I am so excited to be 30 weeks along and to chop this mop I've got. I get a hair cut! Should be an enjoyable day and I'm going to need the week ahead to gear up for next monday: Dr. appt. for pregnancy, Target studio pics for Marce and the whole nine yards. We get to go car shopping the first couple weeks of April, so I'm looking forward to that too, mainly to just get it over with...

Anyway, life is crazy, life is good, Shar is happy Marce is back, as am I - BIG Thank You to my mom for taking care of Marcelus while I was sick and on the mend, and then some! It was a nice break and we're glad to have him back. He brings so much happiness to us. We can't wait for more of that with Phoenix!

When I went to camp a couple weeks ago with Megan, Eric was also gone on a business trip to Texas. My in-laws were here with all the boys and they did fine, but because Eric came home about 2 hours before I did, Brayden gave me the total "cold shoulder" for most the day... it made me sad, but I really wasn't suprised!
