I want input!!

So I am delivering at Chandler Hospital right there on Frye, because it's the closest to me and I don't want to drive any further if I'm in labor. I'm hoping that some of you have delivered there and that you can comment below on how it was.

I had a great experience with the hospital that Marce was born in, in Nevada. It was brand new, and the nurses just slaved over me, there were only like 2 or 3 of us in the whole ward! The food was great and the room/bathroom was fab! But, I only know this one experience, so I have no idea what this time will be like, in a whole different hospital...So, if any of you have delivered a baby here, or even just had to stay here, please comment and share your thoughts. I wish I could deliver in Mercy Gilbert. I could if I really wanted but it's that much further to drive...I'm just trying to think better safe then sorry, just in case...

I think you can pre-register at both hospitals. that way if they induce you or if you have time, you would be able to go to Mercy. That's what I did with Levi. They let me pre-register at Mercy and at Mountain Vista.

I obviously haven't had a baby at Chandler, but I hear it's just okay- really small rooms and stuff.

Your experience at Mesquite is how mine was at Mtn. Vista. There was only one other lady there having a baby and the room and bathroom were huge! It was great! Actually, Mercy was the same way. Man, I was lucky- 2 brand new hospitals in a row!

yeah you were, but you deserve it having those babies so close, yep, you know what I did pre register through the mail at Chandler, but I think that is a great idea, I will pre register at Mercy too, I might have time, once I'm at Chandler, if I'm not "ready to go", then what's 10 more minutes down the 202? Good idea.

I delivered all my babies at Chandler and my experiences got progressively worse. When I had Evan in Nov. 06 they were short-staffed, so they never even took the baby for me so I could sleep. Also my buzzer didn't work to buzz the nurses and since I had a C-section, it was hard for me to go find a nurse. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I say go to Gilbert.

I had Matthew and Chloe at Chandler. The rooms are kinda small, nothing great. The nurses weren't great either and it is a really busy hospital. But, my experience with trying to get induced at Mercy Gilbert was horrible too, but I guess if you don't have that problem it's okay. Although it is busy too now that it's been open for a while.

I'm not sure, but the problem at Mercy with getting induced might have more to do with Goodman/Partridge than with the hosp itself. Maybe not- Jen, I can't remember details of your experience.

All I know was that G & P have a pretty strict policy about inducing. And it depends on the dr. you are seeing. Hopefully you won't have to get induced anyway, and you'll be able to go to Mercy.

I had a doctors appt at Chandler when we were trying to get pregnant, but that is all I know about that hospital. I delivered Jacqueline at Mesa Banner Desert. I loved it there, they were great!! Good luck Lexi, it is hard to decide

It was definitely the hospitals policy too (inducement), becuase I spoke with one of the nurses when I was really upset. Chandler is the same, they are both run by the same company (CWH).

Oh, I meant CHW. Not that it really matters.

I know jana delievered 1 there, and my uncle and grandma both stayed there for extended periods of time. I will tell you that they said it wasn't great. Hopefully all the feedback helps you with your decision.
