Finally...something good.

Yesterday I had my first filling of my life. Because I'm pregnant they numbed me a different way than giving me a shot in the mouth. It went well and he said there was only a 5% chance that I'd still need a root canal on the tooth. He did say there was a 50% chance I'd need a root canal on it in the next 5-10 years. I have to get 3 more cavities filled but not til after I have the baby. So I scheduled them for July. He said he wanted to give me laughing gas for them because I am a gagger. That sounds good to me. Anyway I should be all done with dental work by the end of the summer just in time to get a cleaning in the fall...

Today I had a 30 week Ultrasound for Phoenix and everything is good. The only thing they were concerned about is that he was breech. They told me of a position I can do to try and make him move head down and they said at 36 weeks, I will get another Ultrasound to make sure he's in head down position to deliver. I really don't want a C-section. My friend told me all about her recovery. In the Ultrasound, the lady clocked me 10 days ahead of my due date (again), so I have reason to believe I will have him in May. We got some 3D pictures of his face, but they aren't quite as good as last time, I think cause he's bigger. My next appt. is a reg. appt. and it's on March 31st, Monday, basically not this Mon. but next. I will be 31 weeks along, but if we were going by my Ultrasound I'd be almost 33! I kind of wish they would change my due date but whatever...

The best part of this whole post is that I do not have to attempt the Glucose test again. I told her what happened and everything and she said that what she needed me to do didn't involve any orange drink and I was fine with that. I have to go to the clinic in the morning without eating and give blood, perfect, and then on another occasion I have to eat a decent lunch, wait two hours and then go to the clinic and give blood. So, a fasting draw of blood, and a two hour fasting draw of blood. She said if those come back normal then I am fine. She said my 1 hour test was high but just barely over the mark to make me take the 3 hour test. I'm pretty sure I don't have it...but I have no problem giving a little blood. Way easier than giving blood, not eating, and drinking a huge nasty orange drink, all the while waiting for hours.

Here's a few pics from the Ultrasound today. BTW, what appears to be a hair line on his head is not in fact hair, the lady said it just does that to where it looks like it is but it's just the way the cameras and stuff lighten or darken areas...

So glad to here that they're doing the test differently for you. To me that test makes more sense than starving a pregnant woman, putting huge quantities of sugar in her system, and draining blood for several hours. We don't they just do that for everyone? Retarded!

well I think she did these two options because of what I told her, she knew I was not happy with the test and she knew what my body couldn't handle cause I told her, but yeah this will be so easy comparatively.

The pictures of Phoenix are so cute! He looks huge! I hope you won't have to have a c-section, but it'll be better than having him in there forever.

That is so cool that they keep telling you that he may come sooner than your due date. In regards to a c-section, my friend has had two, and she is about your size... she said that it was not too bad. Good luck Lexie!

yeah we'll see. I'm getting pretty big and have noticed that I look bigger naked or just in underwear than clothes! I guess the clothes kind of just suck you in huh? And yeah Phoenix kind of looks like a bruiser in these shots, but he's probably just tiny of course, but he does look like he's got chubby cheeks, he looked swollen to me ha ha, Shar and I joked that maybe he will be our "bigger" child...Shar said he looked kind of special, I was like "What"! ha ha We're both excited to just get him here and see what he's all about
