Funny Story

Ok, it was funny to me anyway, but here goes. Last week I asked my friend April to drive me to the blood clinic because I had to give blood for the pregnancy. We had pretty much decided on going at 12. I was all ready except I had to brush my teeth. I hadn't talked to April in a couple days so I figured she'd call before she came over, just for kicks...she doesn't have a cell phone right now. There was no call but it was nearing 12, so I called her and no one picked up so I figured she was on her way or had a last minute thing she needed to do instead or something...so I decided I needed to hurry up and brush my teeth in case she was on her way. Some of you know I take a good 10-15 minutes on my teeth, Shar does too. I'm very thorough with my teeth, and I have an electric toothbrush that allows me to get into every nook and cranny...well here I am brushing my teeth, and Marce comes up to me and says "oh oh" and I knew that that meant she was here and had knocked on the door. I wasn't done yet and couldn't leave so I tried to hurry and stupidly told Marce to go get the door (like he can!) He did go to the door though and next thing I know I hear April calling my name. By this time I am done and tell her I'm in the back. She comes in all hot and bothered and tells me she's been outside knocking and ringing the doorbell for 10 minutes! She was sure that I'd passed out because I was fasting for my test. She was shaking a little bit and was so "I'm going to kill you, you scared me to death!" and I was just calm as can be. All I could do was laugh and tell her I was brushing my teeth and didn't hear the knocks or doorbell because of the motor in my brush. She said she'd looked in the window and saw my diaper bag and then saw Marce so she knew I was here, but thought I'd passed out. How funny is that. BTW, Marce went to the door and she told him to unlock the door through the door and he did, and that's how she got in...ha ha.
On our way to give blood, I was laughing half the time because she was still so worked up, then our other good friend Gina calls my phone and asked if I was with April by chance. She knew we'd be together that day. I said actually yes, and she asked to talk to her. Gina told April that her house alarm had gone off and that it contacted her phone and she was at April's. So we head to April's and find a couple cops there with Gina. She sorted it all out, but Gina had borrowed a neighbors car to drive over to April's, she had no idea what was going on...the alarm went off cause of some timer or something...anyway, all I could say to my friends was "At least we know we care about each other and we're good friends, ha ha" It was a really funny sequence of events. We then proceeded with my bloodwork...ha.
