He's starting to look less like a toddler and more like a little boy. He's not even 3 yet but he's just so big and tall.
Eating a piece of chicken...and trying to take pictures at the same time.
He's even cute with a mouthful of food.
His hair is getting really long. I have been growing it out forever. My hair grows pretty slow and Sharrid's too. I have noticed my kids' hair takes forever too. Phoenix' is a real mess if he hasn't been bathed that day or had it "done". This entails a water bottle, a comb, and lots of detangler. He has a pretty hard head and is really good about me combing out all the knots. I am so tempted just to shave it all off but I can't. I've worked too hard to get it this long. We took him over to my sisters to see if we could braid it. He got through 2 braids...he needed a nap and isn't used to his hair being done like that. It was only just long enough because of how curly it is too. I think I'm going to wait a little longer and then take him into a braiding place to get it done. I want his hair long enough to experiment with. There's all kinds of things you can do with curly hair and when his g0es a few days it does turn into that "black hair" like Sharrid's. It's seriously like dry as a bone horse hair.
Meanwhile Marcelus' hair is in that in between phase that I hate because he won't let me pomade it and fohawk it up a bit. He just likes it down...boring. So I gave him 2 options. He could keep growing it out and have it longer like he did, or he could let me cut it short like a fade. We'll see what he chooses. It'll be interesting to see what Amar'e's hair is like. Yes, even in a house full of boys we have hair drama.Phoenix is always doing hand stands now a days. This kid is talking in sentences now and is becoming much more fun. He is going away to Grandma's in a few weeks for 10 days and they are going to have a blast with him. I can't believe this kid doesn't turn 3 until the end of May. He is going to be a big kid!
Sharrid started school a week ago and we are getting used to his schedule. We see him most Friday mornings, on Saturday and Sunday. As such, the boys and I have daily scripture study without him. We do family night on Sunday night. I have been working with Marce on school stuff everyday as well. He is more than ready for Kindergarten. We are working on math, subtraction, recognizing color words, number words, and I hope to have him reading small words by the time he starts. He does great and is much smarter than I was, that's for sure. By the time he's in 4th or 5th grade, he'll be smarter than I am right now ha ha. I'm not that book smart. That's the latest on us. Still waiting to secure a new place to live. I did register Marcelus for Kindergarten. We are looking to buy a Suburban I think anytime from now til the end of summer, so if you know anyone selling one...
