The Lego Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle

I am at the mercy of my memory card. Most times my computer is not recognizing it, so when it does, I blog. So things are a little late and I don't know if it's dust, the actual memory card (it is old after all), or my computer (praying it's not).

Without further ado, here is the castle I have been ranting and raving about building since Christmas break! It was so therapeutic for me. Marcelus' birthday is coming up and he has asked for Darth Vader's tie fighter. He asked for it for Christmas but got Luke's X-wing fighter instead which he loves. He still wants the tie fighter so he can play with them together and stuff. If he ever gets anything like this again, I will definitely be in on the action. Come to think of it they do sell Hagrid's Hut, The Hogwarts Express, and The Burrow. We'll have to collect them all!

The outside The sorting hat, the sword, Dumbledore's office. The rotating staircase. Trophy room. The Great Hall. The Great Hall was the most time consuming, but I loved all the little details. Marcelus LOVED building the stain glass windows. He HAD to put the doors on. He loved the doors! The Owlery, Gryffindor common room. You can't see the fireplace in this photo though. Slytherin common room down in the dungeon. Restricted section of the library, front doors. The astronomy tower. The inside. After we move we are going to put up a shelf for all of the bigger Lego sets that we don't want to take apart, like this one and the X-wing fighter. That way they'll be up high so we can look at them and when he wants to play with them, we can bring them down, but we never have to take them apart.

Happy Lego building!
