My Boys Are Growing Up!

Phoenix had his 18 month wellness check up today at the Doctor. He has grown 2 inches in 3 months and is now 99% for height, as the doctor said "the tallest you can be", after that I guess you are off the charts or something. She is happy with his weight at 43% and told me he must be eating alright even though I told her I see a lot of playing with food going on. She told me to try and lay off the milk a little bit. His head has not changed in the past 3 months and is the same size...good thing, cause it sure is a knocker!

Phoenix is all of a sudden speaking. He now answers me with a "yeah" when I ask him things and he is starting to say his first real words aside from mommy (which he now says great), daddy, cheese, hot dog, ect. More and more words are coming and they are all getting clearer. Phoenix has quite the attitude but is mostly somber and easy going. He loves to read (if he's not bugged), dance (so funny to watch), try and dress himself, try on Shar's shoes and try to walk, brush his teeth (eat the toothpaste) and go outside or on errands.

His favorite food is fruit. He loves bananas, apples, grapes, clementines, applesauce, you name it. His favorite toys right now are probably the Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars. He always brings me the bin they are in so I can open it. He always seems to be holding a couple cars and will even go down for a nap with some.

I love Phoenix' curly fro, his huge dimpled cheeks, his pretty skin, and his huge feet. He's a great little toddler and would be even better if I could keep Marcelus from torturing him!

When Austin had he's 2 year check up he was at 99 or 100% in his height too. But it's definitely expected with your kids. I don't know where my kids get it from. Check out my blog-it's updated but for some reason it doesn't change the status on my family and friends end. Cute Pics!

They do grow up faster than we think, but especially when you have TALL genes.

I can't wait to hear Phoenix's new words.
