Potty Training & Working Out

After a day and half, and 13 pairs of underwear later, I have come to the conclusion that Marcelus is not quite ready for potty training. Yes, he has shown numerous signs of being ready. But he showed me one sign while actually in the process that proves that he really isn't. Marce could care less about wetting himself. He'd just sit there and keep playing or whatever til I realized it. I thought this wouldn't happen because he's been known to take his diaper off when he was wet or poopy...no correlation I guess. He had plenty of potty accidents. He went on the potty plenty too. But, there was no consistency and day 2 he was resisting to even potty on the toilet at all. I had rewards for him but I guess I might have been a little too negative when he would pee in his underwear when I repeatedly encouraged him and reminded him about peeing in the toilet, but that's not the reason it didn't work. I was pretty patient....he's just not ready yet. We'll try again when he turns 3 or something. It's the luck of the draw on each kid I guess. I know 2 boys who are Marcelus age who have already been potty trained. I also know 2 boys who weren't potty trained til they were 3 1/2. I must say he does look super cute in his underwear...they'll be waiting for him, whenever he's ready to be a big boy! ha ha

Boxer briefs are so cute!

The good old training underwear

Marce got his beanie out of his dresser at some point and put it on Phoenix. It was cute. Phoenix looked adorable and I had to take a couple pictures. How is it that my boys are so cute? I just have to realize I only think this cause they are MY kids,...and I also have to remember I am married to Sharrid...ha ha Aren't we all so biased about our kids? Look at that big round pudgy face though, come on!

I finally started doing something on my off days rather than just letting my muscles cool down and rest. I turned on some music. I felt pretty dumb about just dancing around. I'm used to an audience I guess, unless I'm working on a specific move or choreography. So, I started to jump rope. Jump rope is hard, and tiring, and not so fun on carpet. So, after a bit of this I started to just jump around kind of as if I still had the rope. Then I started to punch the air like a boxer. Jabs and uppercuts and double jabs. I did this for 3 songs straight then stretched for a song. Dumb! I am SO SORE TODAY. My calves are killing me but it's all good cause I see my muscles beginning to wake up and shape and react to what I've been doing. Yesterday while jumping around like an idiot I was thinking that I was wasting my time. I got a total body workout. Today I'm feeling muscles in my back and calves I didn't know I had! Today was an Oxygenfit day, so I went through my DVD but with the pink resistance, not pushing it...mmmm I LOVE working out! After high school I was looking into a program for becoming a personal trainer. I love how my life is right now but I also think "Why didn't I do it?" I would have rocked!

That's the thing about working out...you find out you have muscles where you never knew you had muscles. The same thing happens to me when I swim laps. Oh boy! do I have hidden muscles then. Keep it up, and that Phoenix is just too cute!! (I don't think you're biased...I think you have the cutest kids too! But so does Connie...)
