Slap In The Face

Yesterday I went and got the mail. There were just a few pieces of junk. This was one of them...

Hmm, if it were that easy...
Wow, that's really easy. I wish I could get Lasik. Anyone who can should.

I found this inside the envelope. By what these definitions say, I am none of these. I would be Nearsighted, but this says that you'll see far away things blurry. I don't see blur at all. I can't make out what they are, or at least the details of it but far away things for me are not blurry. They are for a better word raw, not detailed, not exactly clear, but fuzzy, blurry, No.
It was funny when I got this in the mail, cruel irony really...
I was snickering to myself the whole walk home.

Maybe it's because I know your situation, but I found it funny that they not only offered you lasik, but included a map and driving directions. I found it funny thinking of you behind a wheel trying to drive yourself to have your eveys fixed. Junk mail can always be a little cruel...."You've won a million dollars." I mean come on.....that's just rude to get hopes up like that!!! :0)

So sorry! I can't imagine how depressing it would be to realize that there is a simple procedure to help millions of people with their vision, but not one for you. We keep you in our prayers and hope that soon there will be something that docotrs can do.

Yeah, you're right Camie. When I do get my eyes fixed, someone will be driving me there...and back...I'll have to practice driving for my test before I can get my license. I've driven a handful of times but never on major freeways. Merging is my number one scare as far as driving is concerned. But, it probably won't feel scary when I can actually see where everyone's at on the road...ha ha

And Karena I know. Lasik is so awesome for everyone that it can help and if it could help me, I would do it tomorrow...that's why I always say if it can help you, get it done...for me you know, take advantage of it for me...cause I can't.
