Back in the day you didn't have to be in a car seat. I was older, probably 7 or so. You did have to be in a seat belt but were we ever in a seat belt...No. I hated them and really didn't start wearing one til I was almost in HS. My parents at this time had 4 of us. I'm pretty sure we were all in the back seat, squished. I just remember listening to a lot of this:
...and eating a lot of this
I always had to look at the road so I wouldn't get a headache when traveling. Me and my sisters had to play musical chairs a lot in the car so I could see the road. They hated to travel with me! ha ha. I often remember not having any water (what were my parents thinking?) and so I would ask dad for a sip of his Big Gulp, Dr. Pepper...Yuck! The other kids would have been happy to have a sip of dad's pop, but I hate pop. I don't know if it ever helped or just made it worse. Anyway, yeah that night I threw up in bed all over the place. The beef jerky and other crap we ate I assume. I still don't know why we never had any water...
I was sharing with Kira at the time. She was really nice about it. She's always been pretty easy going. Poor mother though....sorry about that mom.
I do want to say that as we got older, things got a little better and we each got to pick out our very own water bottle at Wally's. We had a much bigger ride that looked similar to this:
My dad would put all the seats down in the back on Christmas night as we drove to Carlsbad. We'd lay out our sleeping bags so we were all lined up. Again no seat belts...ha ha. We would sleep or play card games basically the whole way there.

Isn't it fun to think back to "the good old days". The days of no car seats, seat belts, and obviously...no sense of saftey(LOL).
I remember all of that except the throwing up part! Eewww gross! I'm glad I didn't share a room with you- haha. By the way, it's Memories- LIGHT the corners of my mind...Haha
yeah kira and I were sharing a bed too of course but I didn't get any on her or me...and thanks for the spell check, I changed it ha ha
