The Hunger Games Casting
I saw this link on Facebook through a friends comment thread. They have cast all the characters I guess and have begun work on the movie. It is expected to be out in March 2012. I can't wait! I am pretty pleased with most of the casting based on looks (I have no idea how they'll act the parts) even though I had very specific people in mind as I read the book, and more so re-read it (when I found out about the movie adaptation coming) For instance, I would cast Christopher Walken as Pres. Snow although Sutherland looks great for the part! My Haymitch was Hugh Laurie and I always pictured Cinna somewhat like Jay on Top Model. I Can't wait for these movies. They're going to be a lot of fun I think. Check out the casting here.

I was wondering if you'd heard about the casting! Have you seen the first pics of Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss? I thought they looked pretty good. The only casting I was really disappointed in was Peeta. The guy they picked is not at all what I pictured and Peeta is one of my fave characters in the book. If he can act the part well though, I'm sure I'll get over it.
Jen, I think Peeta looks good like he can totally pass for Peeta to me when they make him blonde. Yeah, I really don't know how any of these actors perform, I've never really seen them in anything so hopefully they are good. I'm pretty happy with the casting overall...
