Day 16: A song that you heard from your parents that you still love...this one is hard, we grew up on so much stuff. Stuff from my mom and stuff from my dad. Here are my picks...
I can't think of my dad without thinking of this song...and "What a fool believes" ha ha
My dad loves Chaka Khan...and I still love this song!
I love anything my mom used to sing! Here's one of them.
I could have picked any Elton John song because I love pretty much anything he does, but I picked this one because this is the song my dad had playing in the car when I asked "Who is this? I love this." I was probably 13 or 14 and I have been a big fan ever since. This is still one of my favorites that he does. As far as ballads go, I love Sacrifice, it's so pretty.
My parents used to play these guys all the time on road trips. Us kids loved it!
My mom was so cool for liking these guys. She put this album on all the time at home and we girls would just dance ourselves silly! The whole album was just sweet!
My mom had Whitney Houston's debut album. It had this song on it and I loved it. I loved the whole album though. She's been making killer music ever since. I saw her live about 7 years ago. She's still singing like this! She was excellent live.
My mom also had this album and played it all the time, especially in the morning when she was getting ready for the day. This is by far my favorite Gloria Estefan song...isn't this horrible choreography? ha ha I hope she fired that choreographer...
There's a lot more where that came from but I couldn't possibly put everything!
