Day 14: A duet you love...and my picks are...
This is from a 1998 performance. I found the song while browsing iTunes for Tracy Chapman. What's better than Tracy Chapman and Eric Clapton together?.....NOTHING. This is brilliant. Two incredible live performers. I love both of these artists so this was just too good for me. I listen to this song all the time.
I also listen to this song all the time. I don't watch the show Glee. I love the idea, just not the execution I guess. I usually like the original version of the songs they do, rather than their version...but this is a standout for me. This kid has the best voice on the show in my opinion. It's purely beautiful. And yeah, that last scene in the clip is hilarious...
I couldn't find anthing good for "The Girl Is Mine", so you get "Say Say Say".
I LOVE this song. Yes I realize it's not a duet...close enough. If Elton John wasn't such a genius, I might comment on how ridiculous he looks. I can't believe how skinny Stevie is! The real reason I had to post this was because of Gladys Knight. Holy Smokes, she rocks! I love watching her and her hair! ha ha
Here's a better one. How good is Whitney Houston, right? I love her. And I have never seen Luther Vandross look better, what a stud! Love these clips! Especially this one.
One of the many songs my mom used to sing. She used to sing this one with my uncle. They are a killer duo, so I love this song.

I love That's What Friends Are For! Haha, such a cheesy song, but a good one. Okay, but I have never noticed before how much of a chain smoker Dionne Warwick sounds like! She can barely choke out the notes! Haha
Oh, and you know I love all Glee music, and I agree Kurt's voice is fabulous, but I have to say that Rachel's is still my fave. (His counterpart in the song) I also love Mercedes' voice.
Gladys looks like she raided a HS Choir's costume closet :) And her hair is fabulously huge!
Oh my gosh, I'm so glad you like the song too. I thought maybe I was the only one. Love. that. song. ha ha yeah funny about the choir dress. You would know ha ha Isn't her hair the bomb, and she's way better than Dionne Warwick, bless her heart, but Gladys steals the show, she's so dang cute!
I couldn't find a clip of the Ave Maira you gave me with Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman, but that's definaitely a pick I forgot to mention. Also "Only You" from Satrlight Express is one of my favorite duets but again I couldn't find anything.
Gladys Knight is the bomb! I have always loved that song too. It must either run in the family, or I've taught you well...:)
