Happenings

Marcelus' Funny Sayings:
During dinner "Mom, this meat is Spectacular!" Spectacular came out more like Sectaclar. We had Spaghetti.
Also during dinner "Mom, I'm so proud of you! You didn't make this hot and burn!" He was happy that I gave it to him at the right temperature and too hot so he didn't have to blow on it.

"Mom, my bum is sweaty."

"Mom, my daddy is a little bit mean."

"I have a special friend I'm inviting to the party. (I'm thinking "what party...") He's brown like me, and a little black and a little bit white. His name is Sharee.
Me: "Your dad, Sharrid?"
Marce: "No, Sharee."
Me: "Oh..."

Marce says the funniest things. I wish I could remember them all.

I just finished reading this book, The Goose Girl. I had never read Shannon Hale before but will definitely finish out the trilogy (The books of Bayern) and maybe check out some of her others. I loved this book and recommend it to anyone. Now I'm reading Eclipse again to try and remember things so I can go see the movie. I do remember liking it as much as Twilight, so it's worth reading again. I always like to refresh on the book before I see a movie.
I bought a piano on Craigslist this week! It needs a bench and a tuning but I think it's kind of pretty. We had to jumble the room a bit which is fine because we are in the middle of trying furnish our place anyway. Other items on the list to get include a couch (it's only been a year and half since we've had one...) and a China hutch cabinet. I'm imagining a minty green stand out piece with cabinets or drawers below, a counter above those and then shelving above. Less of a living room hutch and more of an old antique kitchen hutch feel.
When we get that piece it will replace this ugly black thing in the left of this picture. We are trying to add color to our place since we've always gone safe with black or natural/camel colored pieces. It will go against this wall to the left and the subwoofers and such won't be there either. ha ha
Our lovely piano. With the blank space above the piano...
...I am going to hang this. My mother's day gift from my mom. She made this and I love the autumn colors. I think it will look great above the piano with all that grain and everything. I just need to get some kind of hanger for it.
Marcelus modeling his boxers.
So funny how his legs are so much darker than anything.
Grandma and I took Marcelus to see Toy Story 3 in 3D when I was in Logandale last time. It was Marce' first movie in the theatre! I would have preferred not to see it in 3D but it wasn't available. I think it's my favorite of the trilogy. I got so choked up and teary at the end. It was a great ending to the 3. I remember when the first came out. I was about 12 years old, so to finally have it over was a little sad but it was such a sweet ending. I loved the movie! I will definitely be buying it when it comes out.

I have not read a Hale novel that I didn't love. And I mean, LOVE.

I can't believe you were twelve when TS came out. That makes me feel ancient. Ancient. Wow!
