New Things

Marcelus' new thing is this "I don't have the energy for that." He mainly uses this line when asked to pick up his toys.

Congratulations to Sharrid who has finished one of his 6 classes! He has finished a Communications class with a 91%! 4 classes remain and good luck. He'll be finished with those by the end of the month with his Associates!

Last Saturday, Shar and I went on a date to Wet 'n' Wild! I try and come up with new dating ideas every once in a while. I LOVE water parks so I was excited and had a blast! They have a lot of fun rides there. We got to go on most of the rides and then went on our favorite, The Tornado twice. It was hot, it was a busy day, and we waited in lines for about 30 minutes per ride and some more like 45. Shar acted like a kid sometimes. He loved the rides but the heat and the wait brought out complaints. He's so hard to please! For the most part he had a good time too :) I keep realizing as more and more time goes by how different Shar and I are, we really are opposites in just about every way. Shar really loved just being in the Wave Pool, while I loved the really intense rides. One of those rides was like a water roller coaster with us on a double tube, it actually propelled your tube upward as well as dropped you for free falls. On one of the falls I hit my butt on the bottom and ripped a tiny hole in my swim bottoms. It's small but they'll have to be replaced. I had just bought them. I think we'll go to Wet 'n' Wild every year. They have an awesome children's area with all kinds of really fun stuff and you can use life jackets for free. I think next year we'll all go or go with another family. I didn't get any pictures because I swear there's no way to take pictures there, you are swimming and going on rides the whole time and to walk back to your locker just to get your camera so you can get a picture wasn't in the cards.

The ride (above) was the toilet flush, it was literally like that. You went down a fast shoot into the bowl and went around and around until you slowed and went through a tunnel to the pool. It was fun.
This ride was our favorite, The Tornado. We rode in a 4 person square-like tube. That drop into the bowl is fast and steep! You go flying up the side of this funnel and you think you are going to flip over, then you go just as fats up the other side and back and forth all the way down the tunnel, when you get down the funnel it's a little bit like a water river rafting feel. It was a blast!

This ride (above) was so fun and I wish we could have gone on it more. It was the only mat ride. The drop in the tubes was just as fun as coming out into the big slide! I wish all the rides were longer, they go by fast but are so fun. If the lines weren't as long it wouldn't have mattered.
We went on a ride similar to this one riding in a big raft with other people and it was a really fun river rafting ride and it would swing us up the sides of the wall to where you felt like you would flip and then it would push a bunch of water up over your head and drop all over you. We got really wet and it was also my favorite. The roller coaster one was also really fun.

I think next year we'll try and go when it's not as crowded or something. I'd buy a family season pass if it wasn't so far. It's pretty north. Anyway we had fun and I'm sure we'll be back next year!

Oh my goodness! Some of those rides are pretty hairy! Looks like the water would feel real refreshing right about now. It's 108 here...
