I've been on the verge of cutting Marcelus' hair. It has not been cut for 9 months and look how short it is still. I understand it's curly and it doesn't grow especially fast but still...shouldn't we get more out of this for 9 months of growing? To get it to where I wanted I'd have to keep growing another whole year probably! I'm just getting a little impatient. I know I'd regret it some days. Right now, some days his hair looks good, but other days it just looks like a big messy birds nest. What do you think? We'll see what happens...

Yeah, I think he could do with a trim on the back and sides. Keep the curls on top, though!
His hair is really cute. Jade's hair took a long time to grow, especially compared to Emma's hair that grew so fast. We haven't really cut Jade's hair, just trimmed it, and it is just below her shoulders. Her hair is very straight and fine. Nick's hair took a long time to grow too. I had to cut his though, it was bugging me too much. Because he had curls at the bottom, that would just stick out and look really messy if they got wet. So I said no more and my sister gave him a short hair cut for me. There are so many different looks for little boys. It just depends on what look you are going for, and let that dictate whether you are going to cut his hair or let it grow out more. Either way he will still look cute. Good luck!
I think it looks good too. That's the great thing about boys....they are allowed to have messy hair and still look good.
actually I can't just trim the back and sides cause that is where the curls are, the top is the part that's stubborn, when I cut his hair, I always just shave it and start fresh. I love when he has a shaved head. I think I'll keep growing a bit more.
Just let it go a little longer. I let the boys hair go until I just can't stand it anymore. Just drink up those locks a little more!
I think it looks cute! I have the same problem with Matthew's hair (all though now it grows pretty fast). The curls tend to make it look a little unruly sometimes. I usually just try to keep the sides and back trimmed, and it's all in the styling.
oh I don't mind that it's unruly, I just think there's a difference between the messy look, and just ...a mess. It has to look good, like you actually meant it to be that way. Some days it's like that and some days it's not. I actually like it long in the back and on the sides. I will probably let it go a little longer and either cut it right before our trip, or if I don't do that I'll just keep letting it go for quite a while. We have family pictures in Oct. and I can't decide if I want his hair long or short. I like it no matter what so it doesn't really matter. Maybe I'll cut it though cause on picture day you never know if it's going to be one of those "messy look" days or one of those "it's just a mess" days! ha ha
