6 years ago my band teacher Mrs. Delgadillo who is awesome and one of my favorite people in this life altogether, nominated me to run the 2002 Torch for the Winter games in Salt Lake. n Feb. 4th I celebrated 6 years. I was a senior when I ran it and it was definately a big high light of my senior year. I ran the torch in Monument Valley UT.

The Indians on the res were Navajo and these HS girls were very quiet and nice

They treated us like celebrities for some reason. Maybe nothing like this had ever happened on the res...there were Indians everywhere, and they ALL wanted an autograph, it was fun to sign away.

Igniting...

Me and my support runner from Las Vegas, Silverado HS I think.

Kira and Michaela

Dad and Tibi, these are funny to me because my family had never really stayed in a Hotel before and also funny because Tibi here is now going to be a freshman in HS this year!

Me in front of my beloved HS, Moapa Valley HS before running the torch. This picture was used for the local papers.

The little Indian children were real cute

Me and a fellow Torch bearer in my shuttle

Missionaries from Alberque (spelled wrong) New Mexico were able to come over and watch, they met my parents and kind of hung out with them.

How exciting for you - that will be an awesome story to tell your kids when they are Olympic nuts like mine have become! They count down the days to the next Olmpics right after the previous set ends!
