Amar'e is one month old today! I have some really cute pictures of him to blog but apparently not only was my camera broken, so seems our media drive where I put my memory card in. Shar's going to take apart the computer and clean it but it still might be broken...if that's the case, I'll have to use the laptop again. Anyway, happy one month to Amar'e!
My parents are coming into town this coming weekend for his baby blessing. I'm looking forward to a quick trip with lots of fun!
Last night we had our neighbors over for dinner. They are in our ward and live right across the way. They have a 4 year old son that's 4, so the boys have a good time. He was at his mom's house so it was just us adults and our boys. We had roast, potatoes, brownies and ice cream. We are still getting to know the Carrols, but we get along pretty good. It's fun to re-tell stories of the past. After dinner, we played a couple games and snacked and talked til 10:30. It was really fun and it was just different to feel like we have friends and I haven't done anything like that in a while so it was good. Jared grew up playing card and board games like I did. It was funny when he told me what his family's right of passage game was...my family has one too, so I told him all about Make A Million. I love meeting fellow "gamers". It's like we speak a common language. Deandra loves video games, computer games, and arcades and stuff. I myself like to play certain Nintendo games and stuff. We're going to get together pretty often I think. Shar and I both agree we won't be here long, but that doesn't mean we still won't be in this ward and you have to live in the moment and just make friends anyway. I have moved away from great friends, but I still know where they are and I don't regret making those friends at all.
It's nice that we can get together so easily since they're just right across our door. We have some common interests already and we even talked about babysitting for each other so we could date.
Looking forward to seeing my family this weekend and playing games with them!

I didn't get a chance to meet him, but she seems very nice. Their boy is cute too. We met them on the way to the pool the day we took the boys over. Glad that you are getting together with SOMEONE!
